Terms of Service

Last updated: 1 April 2026

1. Who we are

NGO Toolkit Lab ("we", "us", "our") provides web-based grant writing tools at ngotoolkitlab.com. The service is operated by Muneeb Bin Yousuf. By using this service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. What the service does

NGO Toolkit Lab provides structured document generation tools to assist NGO grant writers in producing logframes, theories of change, SMART indicator frameworks, and funder-aligned proposals. These tools use AI-powered automated processing to generate document content from the inputs you provide.

Important: All documents produced by this service are AI-generated drafts intended as starting points only. You must review, verify, and edit all outputs before submission to any funder, donor, or third party. We do not guarantee that documents will be accurate, complete, or suitable for any particular purpose.

The quality and accuracy of outputs depends entirely on the quality and accuracy of the inputs you provide. We are not responsible for errors, omissions, or inaccuracies in generated content.

3. No guarantee of funding outcomes

We make no representation or warranty that use of our tools, or submission of documents generated by our tools, will result in successful grant applications, funding awards, or any other outcome. Grant decisions rest entirely with the relevant funder.

4. Free tier and paid access

A free tier is available. One complete document per tool may be generated free of charge. Paid access (currently $9 per project or $19/month subscription) unlocks additional editing and improvement features. Prices are displayed in your local currency where possible. VAT or applicable taxes may apply depending on your location and are calculated at checkout by LemonSqueezy, our payment processor.

Subscription plans renew automatically. You may cancel at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Refunds for subscription payments are handled at our discretion and in accordance with LemonSqueezy's refund policy. Per-use payments are non-refundable once the document has been generated.

5. Access codes

We may issue single-use access codes for promotional or beta-testing purposes. Codes are personal and non-transferable for commercial purposes, have defined expiry dates, and may be revoked at any time without notice. Attempting to share, sell, or abuse access codes may result in immediate account suspension.

6. User content and intellectual property

You retain full ownership of the content you input into our tools and of the document outputs generated for you. By using the service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to process your inputs solely to generate document outputs as directed by you.

We do not use your project content to train, fine-tune, or otherwise improve AI models. Your inputs are not shared with third parties except as required to deliver the service (see our Privacy Policy, specifically the section on third-party sub-processors).

You are responsible for ensuring that any content you input does not infringe the intellectual property rights of third parties.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the service to generate content that is misleading, fraudulent, or intended to deceive funders, donors, or any other party.
  • Submit documents generated by this service as entirely your own original work in contexts where the use of AI-assisted tools is prohibited.
  • Attempt to circumvent rate limits, payment systems, access controls, or any other technical measures.
  • Use the service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation.
  • Reverse engineer, scrape, or systematically extract content or data from the service.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for any violation of these terms.

8. AI-generated content — your responsibilities

This service uses AI to generate document content. AI-generated content may contain errors, inaccuracies, hallucinated facts, outdated information, or content that does not reflect the specifics of your project accurately. It is your sole responsibility to:

  • Review all generated content carefully before use.
  • Verify the accuracy of all facts, figures, indicators, and claims.
  • Ensure outputs comply with the requirements of the funder or recipient.
  • Check whether the use of AI-assisted tools is permitted by the funder before submission.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that generated content will meet your requirements or be suitable for submission to any funder.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Muneeb Bin Yousuf and NGO Toolkit Lab shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to: loss of revenue, loss of data, loss of anticipated savings, loss of business opportunity, or any funding application outcome, whether arising in contract, tort (including negligence), or otherwise, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total aggregate liability to you for any claims arising out of or relating to these terms or your use of the service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the total amount paid by you to us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) £50.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Muneeb Bin Yousuf and NGO Toolkit Lab from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the service, your violation of these terms, or your submission of inaccurate or unauthorised content.

12. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence give you the right to bring proceedings in your local courts.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting a notice on the website and updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
